Description
TCU 2.0 was the first 8HP controller on the market and it has been in continual development for over 10 years and been successfully used in many cars from everyday cars to high HP drag cars. Also vary popular for track use and drift.
Supports:
8HP45, 8HP50, 8HP55, 8HP70, 8HP75, 8HP90
TCU 2.0 can be used for:
Street use
Drag Racing
Race
OFF ROAD
Drift
Hill Climb
8 driving modes – From an OEM automatic feel to full race with a flip of a switch!!!
Manual, auto, semi auto shifting mode using a shifter, sequential style shifter or paddles
Transbrake option
Automatic Adaptation
Self diagnosis with error codes showing on external display
This TCU also supports a digital clutch so you can drive it exactly like if you were driving a manual trans car.
Clutch is digital but world and feels like a regular clutch
Your ZF 8HP gearbox will need a modification to bypass the internal TCU. PCB board is soldered in place of the factory TCU and all gearbox commands will be executed externally using TurboLamik TCU.
- TCU 2.0 Feautres:
- 8 configurable driving modes
- Gear shifting: manual, automatic, semi-automatic,
- Smooth to sporty gearshift characteristics
- Auto Adaptation
- Auto diagnostics / error code memory
- Transbrake start procedure
- Virtual clutch
- On-line software update
- Race Start Bump In
- Clutch sleep stratergy for vehicles with high idle
- Downshift Blip
Installation of the TCU 2.0 does require modification to the factory mechatonics. We essentially need to bypass the internal factory TCU and link directly to the solenoids and sensors with in the transmission.
TCU Inputs – The configurable inputs can be setup as CAN or ANALOG in to the TCU. These are for things such as RPM, Map, TPS and brake signals. Please note there are various limitations on the Canbus inputs depending on which canbus profile is being used.
TCU Outputs – Outputs can be configured using CAN or Analog. Like the inputs there are a number of limitations for canbus outputs depending on engine ECU being use.
Default analog outputs list:
AUX 1-8 outputs 0.5a low side (user configurable various functions)
AUX 9 output speed signal (vss used for speed input in to speedo and engine ecu)
AUX 10 5A low side (user configurable)
AUX 11-12 3A high side output
AUX outputs support:  neautral, reverse lamp signal (+12v 3amp), tq reduction, blip
– ignition signal
– speed output
– gearbox cooler fan control
– transbrake output signal
– front wheel lock valve
CAN communication: 2 x 125, 250, 500, 1MBps (information on supported canbus profiles here)
