Garage Whifbitz R35 GTR coil pack conversion for the 2JZ-GTE & 1JZ-GTE pre-vvti & VVTi engine, as fitted to the Toyota Supra twin turbo, Aristo twin turbo, Soarer twin turbo, Chaser, etc.

R35 GTR coils are known to support 1500+BHP providing a stronger spark for more power, these are a great upgrade over the stock coils giving your engine more power and torque.

Our kit comes with:

• Garage Whifbitz custom length R35 GTR coil packs made to the correct length to fit under the stock 2JZ-GTE engine covers for an OEM look. Our coils are the latest technology smart coils meaning these require no additional ignitor, just wire them up directly to your aftermarket ecu.
• Garage Whifbitz billet coil pack bracket anodised black.
• Wiring loom to connect the coil packs to the ecu or engine bay loom depending on how you want to wire them up.

Our coils must be used with an aftermarket stand alone ecu.

As you can see from the dyno graph below we gained 50whp & 37 lb/ft torque at the wheels compared to the stock coils and we changed nothing apart from the coils. The stock coils did cause a small misfire on this particular engine but it wouldn’t have affected peak power.

So the car is now making 667whp & 605lb/ft torque which is about 784bhp & 711lb/ft torque, it could make a lot more but its limited by the stock engine.

Dwell times must be set as:

8V 5.34

10V 4.69

12V 3.93

14V 3.40

16V 3.40
