Wheels In Motion Geometry

We had the cars geometry redone today at Wheels In Motion and the Superpro offset bushes I had made worked a treat. We’ve now got an easy 3 deg negative camber on the front and 4 deg of caster with plenty more camber if needed. So for anyone running slicks this is a really cheap […]

Superpro offset bushes

The custom made Superpro bushes arrived this week as well. These are for the front lower arms and as you can see from the pictures they use an offset sleeve which should allow us to get more camber and castor which is essential to get the slick tyres working correctly.

S366 Batmowheel billet turbo

And we’ve gone for a new windmill to. We thought we would try out one of the new Bullseye Power S366 Batmowheel billet T4 0.91 divided turbo. Brake rebuild

And we found the problem with the spongy brake pedal. The caliper piston seals were melted! They’ve done pretty well though as the calipers haven’t had a rebuild since new and they’ve had about 6 years of track abuse. While we were at it we thought it would be a good idea to upgrade the […]

Dyno

/

Ryan and I took the car to TDi’s fantastic dyno last week, unfortunately we had a problem with fuel pressure on the day (which ended up being the fuel filter) so couldn’t turn the boost up to go for a nice figure. Still made 560bhp at the hubs so about 650bhp approx. This car isn’t about […]

Accusump fitted

We fitted an Accusump to Steves car in preparation for running slicks which will hopefully insure there isn’t any oil starvation in the twisty bits. It fitted under the inlet manifold just about, perfect fit. Lets hope it works, should do, Touring Car teams use them.

We test fitted the Rota Boost alloys today, look better than I thought they would in white, unfortunately it was the only colour they had in stock. Also test fitted the Michelin slick tyres, these are straight off a Porsche Cup car.

Side exit exhaust system

I think this could be a first for a Supra. Our very own side exit exhaust, there are a few reasons why we’ve done it: 1. Move the weight within the wheelbase of the car for better weight distribution. 2. Leaves a nice clean underside for a future rear diffuser 3. To be different, which […]

Time Attack Cadwell Park 2010 2nd place

/

The fourth and penultimate round of Time Attack saw the team setting out on a number of firsts. It was our first visit to the infamous Cadwell Park, something in itself quite daunting given it’s affectionate nickname of ‘mini Nurburgring’, but even more challenging was the prospect of joining the elite in the Club Pro […]

Time Attack Brands Hatch 2010 2nd & 4th

/

Unlike the previous rounds, the team chose not to do a trackday the day before Brands Hatch as this is our local circuit, and the one on the calendar we are most familiar with having done lots of testing and trackdays in the past. Paul Whiffin’s car had to undergo quite substantial surgery following the […]

Twin scroll manifold – dyno results…

Another part we changed this year was the exhaust manifold. The car was previously running an HKS twin scroll manifold so we decided to prove what Garage Whifbitz’s new twin scroll version can do and you can see from the dyno sheets below its pretty conclusive. Remember all we changed here was the manifold and wastegate.

The second round of Time Attack saw the team making their annual pilgrimage to Knockhill in Scotland. By far the most remote and distant circuit on the calendar, Knockhill really needs to be seen to be appreciated. The circuit itself is set in the picturesque hills of Fife, and is around 10 miles North of […]
